The search giant didn’t exactly make a big noise in the internet when they released the update and only made the announcement on their Android Building Google Groups. As with any updates, this Android 4.1.2 should address some bugs and enhance the device's performance, but by how much and which bugs will it fix, your guess is as good as ours. We earlier posted a story on the release of Android 4.1's source code which will pave the way for custom ROMs to reach [some] Android devices with varying clock speeds and screen sizes which is great news to us 'flashers'. Google has just announced [through their official Google+ Nexus page] that they've started sending out the Android 4.1 Jellybean update to GSM/HSPA+ flavors of their Galaxy Nexus phone. Carrier versions of the device (locals who happen to own an AT&T and T-Mobile Nexus phones) should expect the latest Android version within the next few days as well. It's worth noting that all Nexus devices (with the inclusion of Motorola's Xoom tablet) bound for shipping later this month will be running Jellybean right out of the box. So far, the build version of Android 4.1 currently existing is the JRO03C with more to follow.
