Google has announced the maintenance release for Android Nougat, version 7.1.2, and it's rolling out for devices in the Android Beta Program. The final release of Android 7.1.2 is expected to launch in a couple of months for Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices. Android Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge is just around the corner as the company has announced that it plans to roll out the said update in January 2017. In a report by Android Central, the announcement came in the form of a notice for subscribers of the Galaxy Beta Program for Android Nougat. If you own a Sony's current Xperia X and X Compact smartphone, you'd be happy to know that the latest Android software version is now out for your device.
