Apple has just announced that they are recalling select models of 15-inch MacBook Pro units due to battery issues. In Apple's announcement, the company discovered that a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units may have batteries that are prone to overheating and pose a fire safety risk. Apple has just unveiled the new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the latest M5 chip. Apple claims that the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 can deliver: * Up to 7.7x faster AI video-enhancing performance in Topaz Video when compared to the 13‑inch MacBook Pro with M1, and up to 1.8x faster than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4. The new MacBook Pro supports up to 24 hours of battery life, faster SSD storage with up to 2 times the speed of the previous generation, and up to 4TB of configurable storage. Unlike current MacBooks powered by Apple’s M-series chips, this upcoming model is expected to use the A18 Pro which is the same chip found in the iPhone 16 Pro. The actual appeal of the product will likely depend on how much cheaper it is compared to the MacBook Air, which has been Apple’s most affordable laptop option to date. Apple has officially unveiled its newest lineup of laptops, the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini.  The new Mac lineup is now powered with the M1 chip, Apple's first system on chip (SoC) designed for Mac.
