Prior to the MacBook Pro M5, I had the MacBook Air M3 and the MacBook Air M1 these past few years. Apple has a very wide variety of laptops to choose from -- it starts with the 13-inch MacBook Air with a 15-inch variant; and then the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, the former is what we currently been using for about a month now and it comes with the latest Apple M5 chip. The MacBook Air is Apple's basic entry-level laptop while the MacBook Pro are more performance-level machines so it is easy for consumers to pick which one to use based on their lifestyle or case-use. This time, we're looking at the 14-inch MacBook Pro M5. These set of ports has prompted me to actually ditch the usual dongles that I carry with me along with my old MacBook Air. Having used the MacBook Air M3 for the past 20 months prior to migrating to the Pro M5, I really liked how thin and light that thing is. One would think that there shouldn’t be any big difference between a 13.6-inch MacBook Air and 14.2-inch MacBook Pro but once you carry it around with you, it will become evident.
