The 2018 Asian Games introduced a new category in their competition, which involved the latest trend of this generation, the Esports genre. The Asian Games, in partnership with Asian Electronic Sports Federation, is currently holding a live demonstration event for the world-renowned game League of Legends. League of Legends is not the only Esports game to be featured at the 2018 Asian Games, a Clash Royale tournament will also be commencing at 3:45 pm (GMT+8) today after the LoL event. Riot Games is reportedly working on a new game based on League of Legends, which may launch on both PC and mobile. This could be to give way to the new League of Legends-based project, although Riot has not confirmed this. For now, details about the new League of Legends game remain limited. Riot Games celebrated the reacquisition of its popular online game League of Legends’ publishing rights with a party for the player community last February 24, at The Platform, Newport World Resorts, Pasay City. League of Legends, sometimes simply referred to as ‘League’, boasts an estimated 180 million players around the world.
