ASUS has launched a new smartphone in the Philippines yesterday touted as "The Battery King", the ZenFone Max Plus. Camera-wise, the Max Plus also has higher rear camera resolution over the ZenFone 4 Max, which theoretically, should produce better images. Both devices pack 8MP front shooters, however, the Max Plus settled with screen flash compared to the LED flash found on the ZenFone 4 max. When it comes to performance, the Max Plus packs a MediaTek MT6750T chipset while the ZenFone 4 Max has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. ASUS also placed some extra features on the Max Plus with its Face Unlock which is a biometric feature that we're starting to see more in smartphones. While the Max Plus look better on paper, the ZenFone 4 Max is not to be scoffed at. Considering the modest specs, we expect the ZenFone 4 Max to last longer. Lastly, the price, with all its bells and whistles the Max Plus is priced at Php11,995 which is Php2K more expensive than the Php9,995 ZenFone 4 Max.
