OpenSignal has released the latest LTE report for the Philippines and now pegs it at 9.49Mbps (average). In terms of LTE availability, the Philippines has 63.73% LTE coverage which is higher than the 58.83% from the previous quarter. The telecoms company revealed today that they've completed and passed the last technical audit by a 3rd-party auditing firm and the NTC for the committed 84% coverage and 55Mbps minimum average mobile internet speed. The audit revealed DITO passed both tests with an population coverage of 86.3%, a 92Mbps minimum average 4G speed and 597Mbps minimum average 5G mobile internet speed. The results also showed improvements over the performance of DITO on its first year of operations in 2021 -- The 1st audit back January 7, 2021, DITO has an average speed of 507.5 Mbps for 5G and 85.9 Mbps for 4G. It's been 6 months since OpenSignal released a State of LTE Report with the Philippines getting an average of 8.59Mbps. In terms of 4G availability, the Philippines ranked 72nd (out of 75) with 52.77% LTE coverage ( the percentage of the time that users can connect to a 4G network). This is a little better than the 44.8% LTE availability that the Philippines got back in November 2016.
