Huawei has launched the Huawei CPE Pro 5G commercial device along with the Balong 5000, the company's 5G multi-mode chipset. The Balong 5000 supports 5G modules, home broadband, and vehicle-mounted devices. The Huawei 5G CPE Pro device is powered by the Balong 5000 multi-mode chipset which supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular connectivity. Huawei stated that their 5G smartphones powered by Balong 5000 will be released at the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We have two of them here - the THL 5000 and the Gionee Marathon M3. Although both sport the same battery capacities, the THL 5000 is pushing heavier features and specs which in turn consumes more power. Novo7Tech has officially announced on their Facebook page the local price of the THL 5000, the octa-core Android smartphone that packs a massive 5,000mAh battery, and it is set to arrive early next month. Updated specs are based on the THL 5000 Ultraphone which is different from the THL 5000 (1.7GHz MT6592 octa-core, 32GB) we originally posted.
