A reader has sent us a message, informing us that he has received an email from BPI but apparently turns out to be illegitimate. We've previously written about this same incident before wherein DOH's website was used to phished BPI cardholders by redirecting them to a part of DOH website and requiring them to put in sensitive information including credit card numbers and the three-digit CVV at the back. Just promptly send the email to BPI's email account ([email protected]) so they can look into it. BPI has an information drive to warn the public of such malicious intent. The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has issued a System Maintenance Advisory informing its clients that its ATMs, cash deposit machines (CDMs), POS terminals and online banking services, will be unavailable at certain times in the next few days.
