The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) introduces Soundbox. This provides real-time audio confirmation for payments made through BPI OneQR. Soundbox improves this process by delivering instant voice alerts for successful payments. “Soundbox brings QR payments to a higher level, providing an innovative way to confirm payment instantly when using BPI OneQR.” said Head of BPI Agency Banking Rally Jereza. Driving Innovation in Digital Payments BPI plans to expand the deployment of Soundbox to high-traffic sectors such as food and retail. Soundbox's integration with BPI OneQR, the bank's real-time payment system, is an additional advancement in BPI's objective to offer easily accessible, effective, and safe financial solutions. BPI has had this feature for a long time and we've been getting email alerts for online or mobile transactions (bills payment, fund transfers, etc), however this is the first time we got an alerts when making an ATM withdrawal.
