The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) introduces Soundbox. This is the first audio-based payment confirmation device in the Philippine banking industry. This provides real-time audio confirmation for payments made through BPI OneQR.

Traditionally, QR code payments require merchants to confirm transactions with customers via SMS notifications. Soundbox improves this process by delivering instant voice alerts for successful payments.
“Soundbox brings QR payments to a higher level, providing an innovative way to confirm payment instantly when using BPI OneQR.” said Head of BPI Agency Banking Rally Jereza.
Sellers may expedite the payment process and accommodate quicker checkouts thanks to the audible alerts, which allows retailers to handle more transactions—particularly in busy settings. Because of their modest size and voice confirmation capabilities, Soundbox devices are perfect for a variety of establishments, from big retail chains to little street vendors, offering a reliable consumer experience.
