ByteDance confirmed on Friday, March 20, that it will sell game developer Moonton to Saudi Arabia’s Savvy Games for $6 billion. ByteDance bought Moonton in 2021 for $4 billion. ByteDance also owns other platforms like TikTok and CapCut. ByteDance officially launched Seedance 2.0, its next-generation AI video creation tool, marking a significant step toward professional-grade video generation. PICO, a VR company under ByteDance’s umbrella, the same parent company of TikTok, has announced the new PICO 4 Ultra virtual reality headset. The updated bill is requiring ByteDance to sell their platform to a US company within a year instead of six months Failure to comply will result in TikTok being removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Biden already mentioned that he was in favor of this bill, with ByteDance’s time running. It seems ByteDance, the developers of TikTok, are planning to sell their gaming unit Moonton Technology, the creators of Mobile Legends.
