Canon organized a whole-day affair to celebrate the Philippine release of over 30 products in their line, including the much awaited EOS 5D, 50D and 1000D. I got some shots and price list below: The Canon EOS 5D Mark II came out sometime last week -- boasts of a 21.1 megapixel full-frame 35mm CMOS sensor, DIGIC IV. This baby can also record full high-definition (HD, 1080p) movies at 30 fps. The Canon EOS 50D on the other hand was first announced last August (see specs here) -- has a 15.1 megapixel sensor and an ISO of up to 12800. My very first camera was a Canon Ixus 30 I bought for Php21k over 5 years ago. Since then, I moved up to the dSLR (Canon EOS 40D) and have been a loyal Canon user. So when I made the stop-over at South Korea last week and saw the gadget sale, I grabbed one of them cheap Ixus models -- the Canon Ixus 80is.
