Canon organized a whole-day affair to celebrate the Philippine release of over 30 products in their line, including the much awaited EOS 5D, 50D and 1000D.
I got some shots and price list below:
The Canon EOS 5D Mark II came out sometime last week — boasts of a 21.1 megapixel full-frame 35mm CMOS sensor, DIGIC IV. This baby can also record full high-definition (HD, 1080p) movies at 30 fps.

The kit comes with an EF24-105mm lens and will retail for Php182,550 when it comes out this December. Php128,000 for body only.

The Canon EOS 50D on the other hand was first announced last August (see specs here) — has a 15.1 megapixel sensor and an ISO of up to 12800. The 50D will retail for Php64,950 for body only. There are two kits — one with an EF-S18-55mm IS lens at Php72,950 and another with an EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens at Php94,950.

Those looking into the entry-level dSLR might wanna check the EOS 1000D, a 10.1 MP dSLR very similar in form with the EOS 450D. A kit with an EF-S 18-55mm IS lens will retail for Php32,995.
There are so many other new models especially in the point-and-shoot range including the new 14.1 megapixel Digital IXUS 980 IS and the Powershot G10. No pricing details are available for these though.
