Converge has started sending out emails to what it claims as the first batch of Converge XCLSV (could be a play on the word exclusive) customers who are part of this new service. The Converge XCLSV program places certain selected customers to a group that will get a dedicated account officer for immediate assistance and provides true high-speed plans. We reckon this seems similar to Smart Infinity or Globe Platinum program of other telcos for postpaid, only that the one for Converge is for broadband. Converge has been in the spotlight in past months due frequent downtimes, intermittent connections, and poor customer service. We'll be on the look-out for a more detailed explanation of this Converge XCLSV program. This means nearly seven in 10 mobile users are still dependent on legacy 3G services ahead of the government-mandated shutdown of 3G networks by the end of 2026. Today, three major players dominate the growing fiber prepaid market: PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid, GFiber Prepaid, and Converge Surf2Sawa. Converge Surf2Sawa currently offers only up to 100 Mbps.
