Cydia Store, an alternative to Apple's App Store for jailbroken iOS devices, seems to be shutting down and have already disabled the ability to purchase from the store. Cydia's creator, Jay Freeman, aka Saurik, posted the announcement on Reddit where he expressed his intent to shut down Cydia Store following reports of a security bug that may have put PayPal accounts of users at risk. Saurik said he will put together a formal post about Cydia's future which is likely to be published next week. UPDATE: The article was updated to better reflect the Cydia Store's current situation, specifically the shutting down of its in-store purchases. Globe hosted a lunch for the media this afternoon to introduce their very first Flagship Store in the country which is located at the Greenbelt 4. Globe's concept of their Flagship Store was inspired from various telco stores around the world (yeah, they sent a team to check out the Apple Store in New York, AT&T, Orange and Vodafone in Europe and Singtel in Singapore).
