LTO has just announced new rules regarding the renewal of licenses for drivers. Drivers seeking to renew their license are now required to obtain a certification from the Comprehensive Driver's Education starting October 28, 2021. The LTO has also announced that the validity of all student permits, driver's licenses, and conductor's licenses that are set to expire in October will be extended until December 31, 2021. 2019-2167, all Driver's License Renewal Offices (DLROs) are required to operate and process driver's license applications and issue student permits on Saturdays. An earlier memo from the office also allows the renewal of driver's license two months or 60 days in advance. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will hold a dry run of its online vehicle registrations and driver’s license renewal system. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will begin to roll out driver's license cards with 10-year validity to motorists with no traffic violations, as announced by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade. Secretary Tugade also revealed that the backlog on driver's licenses was addressed.
