The Epic Games Store offered multiple free games weekly. Notable titles included the entire Tomb Raider trilogy (Tomb Raider GOTY, Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration), Daemon X Machina, Galactic Civilizations III, Relicta, Windbound, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, CrisTales, Amnesia: Rebirth, Riverbond, Just Die Already, and Paradigm. Each was free for a limited time, often for one week.

In January 2022, Epic Games announced several major titles coming to the store throughout the year. The list includes Forspoken, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Sifu, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction, Rumbleverse, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Saints Row, and the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Epic Games confirmed that weekly free games would continue in 2022. The company also stated it would be addressing user feedback by working on features like the ability to prioritize and queue selected game downloads, more library filtering and organization options, an improved library view to see more games, and functionality to view your game library outside the official launcher.
