Samsung Electronics has annouced its two new Exynos processors for mobile devices, the Exynos 5 Octa (Exynos 5422) and the Exynos 5 Hexa (Exynos 5260). The Exynos 5422 is Samsung's advanced Exynos 5 Octa product for its premium mobile devices. The new processor promises to deliver up to 34% higher performance compared to previous Exynos Octa models and can save power consumption by up to 10%. In addition, the Exynos 5422 supports high-resolution displays such as WQHD (2560 x 1440) and WQXGA (2560 x 1600) and utilizes advanced Multi Format Codec (MFC) that supports 4K UHD resolution. Next is the Exynos 5260, which is powering the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, is equipped with six CPU cores; two 1.7GHz ARM Cortex -A15 cores and four 1.3GHz ARM Cortex -A7 cores.
