Samsung Electronics has announced that it has started the mass production of its first Exynos-branded Internet of Things (IoT) solution, the Exynos i T200. The Exynos i T200 was built on a low-power 28-nanometer (nm) High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) process. "The Exynos i T200 is an IoT solution optimized to deliver both the performance and security demanded in the IoT market," said Ben Hur, Vice President of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics. "With various Exynos solution offerings, Samsung will deliver further differentiated value to not only mobile devices, but also non-mobile spaces, including automotive and IoT." source: Samsung Samsung Electronics has annouced its two new Exynos processors for mobile devices, the Exynos 5 Octa (Exynos 5422) and the Exynos 5 Hexa (Exynos 5260). The Exynos 5422 is Samsung's advanced Exynos 5 Octa product for its premium mobile devices. The new processor promises to deliver up to 34% higher performance compared to previous Exynos Octa models and can save power consumption by up to 10%. In addition, the Exynos 5422 supports high-resolution displays such as WQHD (2560 x 1440) and WQXGA (2560 x 1600) and utilizes advanced Multi Format Codec (MFC) that supports 4K UHD resolution.
