Facebook recently rolled a preview of Messenger Kids-- it's simply just like Messenger, however, this time, parents are the ones in control of their kids' account. In order for Messenger Kids to work, parents must set up an account for their kids and once it's all set up, kids can start a one-on-one or group video chat with parent-approved contacts. Parents can control their kids' account through the Messenger Kids Controls panel in their main Facebook app. In the meantime, the preview of Messenger Kids is only available in the US on the Apple App Store and will soon be arriving to Amazon App Store and Google Play Store in the coming months. The messaging apps’ removal has left users wondering, since platforms from Meta like Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram are still accessible. Most importantly, these new rule changes apply worldwide, not just in the US. As per Apple, the new finish complements the beautiful flat-edge design of the iPhone 12. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
