As the big event approaches, Apple’s contact manufacturer, Foxconn, is ramping up production by recruiting a large workforce. According to BusinessKorea, Foxconn’s Zhengzhou factory in China has hired 50,000 new workers to meet Apple’s demand, reportedly aiming for over 90 million iPhone 16 units. Foxconn, a Taiwanese company known for manufacturing Apple iPhones, will soon own Belkin. A subsidiary of Foxconn, Foxconn Interconnect Technology, announced today it that it would acquire Belkin, alongside its other brands, Linksys and Wemo. Foxconn will have to pay USD866 million in cash to acquire Belkin. Foxconn Interconnect Technology is a subsidiary of Foxconn that builds cables and connectors. It's a young company formed in May 2016 when Microsoft sold its Nokia-branded feature phone division to FIH Mobile Limited (a division of Foxconn Technology Group) and HMD Global. Foxconn's subsidiary, FIH Mobile, manufactures the new Nokia-branded devices developed by HMD.
