Foxconn may build 130-inch ultra HD TV panels

According to DigiTimes report, Taiwanese multinational electronics manufacturing company Foxconn may release ultra HD TV panels as large as 130-inch.

Foxconn vice president, Jeng-wu Tai said that Foxconn Electronics may release 70, 80, and 130-inch panels with ultra HD resolution. As major investors to Taiwan’s largest LCD maker, Chimei Innolux (CMI), such products will not interfere with CMI’s future 50, 55, 58 and 65-inch Ultra HD TV panel line.

Foxconn will continue manufacturing panels for full HD LCD TVs for the remainder of the year but will focus more on the ultra HD TV products starting in 2013.
