It will roll out as a free upgrade to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11. According to the company, new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The Windows 11 upgrade will then roll out to in-market devices “based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors.” Those who have a Windows 10 PC eligible for the upgrade will be notified when the update is available. Microsoft targets to offer the free upgrade to Windows 11 to all eligible devices by mid-2022. Globe AT HOME is giving eligible customers free internet speed boosts of up to 1Gbps along with free WiFi 6 modem upgrades to help improve home connectivity for work, school, and entertainment. Subscribers whose current modem cannot support the upgraded speeds may also upgrade to a WiFi 6 modem for free, but with a required 24-month relock period. Globe has not yet shared how long the promo will run or which plans are eligible for the free upgrade.
