The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said airport fees will be reduced starting April 1, 2026, to help passengers deal with rising airfare costs caused by higher fuel prices. Lopez said the increase in jet fuel prices is one of the main reasons for the move. The saga continues, it seems fuel prices may go up again in the coming week. According to a post by Unioil Philippines, sometime between March 1-7, the following fuel price increases are set to take place. Diesel: PHP 0.80 to 0.90 Gasoline: PHP 0.90 to 1.00 So far Unioil is the only fuel company to post about an impending increase. However, referring to their post, the specific date of the increase is yet to be determined as well as the increased prices. If you're one of them it's best to fill up now with the current fuel prices. Petroleum companies such as Shell, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, and Petrogazz have announced they'll be hiking up fuel prices again tomorrow (February 22, 2022).
