Fujifilm has unveiled its new and powerful point and shoot, the XF1 -- a compact camera with a 12 megapixel sensor and f/1.8 aperture. Aside from the 12 megapixel 2/3-inch EXR-CMOS sensor, it uses a 25-100mm f/1.8 - f/4.9 Fujinon lens with manual 4x optical zoom that retracts into the body when not in use. The XF1 also features a programmable lens ring similar to likes of Sony's RX-100 and a 3-inch 460K dot display with scratch-resistant glass. The Fujifilm XF1 has a price tag of $499.99. Fujifilm Corporation has announced the latest addition to the lineup of interchangeable XF lenses designed for the X Series of mirrorless digital cameras, the FUJINON Lens XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR. The FUJINON Lens XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR is a large-diameter prime lens with a wide-angle focal length of 18mm (equivalent to 27mm in the 35mm film format). As per Fujifilm, the lens offers one of the highest resolutions among XF lenses and has the maximum aperture of F1.4. According to Fujifilm, the lens can also autofocus in as fast as 0.25 seconds even when shifting focus from the minimum object distance of 20cm to infinity.
