Sony Philippines has opened pre-orders for the Sony Alpha 7 V full-frame mirrorless camera. After launching the Sony Alpha Mark V globally, the full-frame mirrorless camera will arrive in the Philippines. The camera is available in two packages: the body is available for pre-order for PHP 164,999 while the body with kit lens goes for PHP 174,999. The new camera features an upgraded sensor, enhanced autofocus, and improved video recording capabilities aimed at filmmakers and hybrid shooters. Sony has not confirmed the name of the camera or any specifications, but the timing fits. Rumors circulating in the camera community point to a new 33-megapixel “partially stacked” sensor designed by Sony, with support for 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second. Until then, the A7 V remains an unconfirmed but increasingly likely addition to the brand’s midrange full-frame lineup.
