Samsung may continue its shift toward in-house processors for its foldable lineup, with a new report claiming that the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 will be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset. The chipset has already been linked to the Galaxy S26 series in select markets, and it now appears that Samsung plans to extend its use to its next-generation clamshell foldable, expected to launch in mid-2026. The Galaxy Z Flip7 was the first foldable from the company to feature an Exynos chip, using the Exynos 2500, making the reported move to the Exynos 2600 a logical progression. According to the same report, the larger Galaxy Z Fold8 is expected to stick with Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, continuing Samsung’s trend of reserving Qualcomm silicon for its premium book-style foldables. It's already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the Philippines before end of October (that's next week!) and we finally got the retail price down to the dot -- Php34,990 (thanks to our source). The price isn't surprising (though I thought it would be a bit higher by a couple grand) considering its baby brother, the Galaxy S, sells for Php32,000. More "in the flesh" photos and first impressions of the Galaxy Tab here.
