Garmin has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Garmin Forerunner 55. The Garmin Forerunner 55 sports a 1.04-inch display with 208 x 208 pixels and features a wide array of health and wellness features from Garmin Firstbeat Analytics. Additionally, women can track their menstrual cycle or pregnancy and log symptoms, and receive exercise and nutrition education through the Garmin Connect app. The smartwatch also has Garmin Coach training plans that offer on-screen guidance from expert coaches and free 5K, 10K, or half marathon training plans based on a runner’s goals. The Forerunner 55 also includes popular connected features. Users can receive text messages and view social media updates, emails, and more directly on their Forerunner smartwatch. The Forerunner 55 will also automatically upload activities to Garmin Connect and allow users to download custom watch faces, data fields, and apps from the Connect IQ Store. The Forerunner 55 features up to two weeks of battery life on smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours on GPS mode, Garmin claims.
