#gcash and facebook

GCash announced today their partnership with Facebook to bring the famous virtual wallet into Messenger. GCash started back in 2004 as Globe's mobile money wallet and has since grown to be one of the most used money transfer and payment portal in the Philippines. Cross-platform sending (PayMaya to GCash and vice versa) would be available soon but for now, only GCash members can send and receive money from each other. For now, this feature is only available on android but Facebook and GCash promise to bring it to iOS later this year. Facebook is launching a new game, Your Profile, Your Home where users can build their own virtual home on Facebook and learn how to personalize their account based on their preferences. Through the game users can learn more about the settings of Facebook such as Privacy settings, Advertiser preferences, and security settings. Through Your Profile, Your Home, Facebook hopes that users will have an easy way to find out just how safe and secure their profiles are. Reloads can be done through the PLDT website, digital wallets like Maya and GCash, and physical stores such as SM outlets and local shops.
