We noticed today that the GCash mobile app was removed from the Google Play Store. UPDATE: (April 2, 2019, 4:22PM) The GCash app is already back on the Google Play Store. As of writing, we still don't have information as to why the GCash app was removed from the Google Play Store. We reached out to GCash for a comment and here's their statement: "We are aware that the GCash App has been unavailable in the Google Play Store recently. Rest assured that this does not affect the security and user experience of GCash users with the GCash App installed on their Android and iOS devices. For the meantime, customers can also go to @gcashofficial in Messenger to use GCash. Thank you." UPDATE: (April 2, 2019, 6:22 PM): GCash sent an updated statement regarding the issue, specifying that the app has been unavailable in the Google Play Store "today" instead of "recently": "We are aware that the GCash App has been unavailable in the Google Play Store today. Thank you." GCash offers a wide range of financial services which includes mobile payment, remittance, bank transfer, and investments.
