GCash has officially launched Watch Pay with HUAWEI, making it the country's first QR code payment through a smartwatch. Announced back in June during Futurecast 2024, GCash has worked together with HUAWEI to launch Watch Pay. This allows users to pay using a QR code through their watch. Watch Pay is expected to be compatible for all of HUAWEI's other watches by November 15. It is also mentioned that Apple Watches will soon have this feature too. There is no word which other watches will have Watch Pay. Apple has launched its 2026 Pride Collection in the Philippines, headlined by the new Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Loop, alongside matching watch faces and wallpapers. The band is compatible with Apple Watch models that support the listed sizes.
