GCash has officially launched Watch Pay with HUAWEI 55, making it the country’s first QR code payment through a smartwatch.

Announced back in June during Futurecast 2024, GCash has worked together with HUAWEI to launch Watch Pay. This allows users to pay using a QR code through their watch.

As of the moment, the smartwatches that are able to do this are the HUAWEI Watch Fit 3, WATCH GT 5 Series, and WATCH Ultimate.

Watch Pay is expected to be compatible for all of HUAWEI’s other watches by November 15.

It is also mentioned that Apple 36 Watches will soon have this feature too. It will arrive by December 15, however.

There is no word which other watches will have Watch Pay.
