Globe has announced that they have achieved over 50% improvement in internet speed in one year. Based on Ookla's Speedtest Intelligence Q3 2021 data, Globe mobile’s median download speed across all technologies zoomed by 60% compared to Q3 2020. On the other hand, Globe mobile’s median upload speed surged by 51% compared to last year's same quarter. Furthermore, Globe also mentioned that the continuous improvements in mobile network speeds are due to its steady investments in network upgrades and infrastructure development. This allowed Globe to install one million fiber-to-the-home lines as of end-September, construct 641 new cell towers and upgrade 8,175 sites to 4G LTE as of end-June. It also established over 1,800 5G equipped cell towers nationwide and has raised its 5G outdoor coverage in the National Capital Region (NCR) to 95%. “We are glad our aggressive and sustained network builds and upgrades continue to bear fruit as shown by enhanced overall customer data experience,” said Joel Agustin, Globe SVP of Network Technical Group. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500.
