Globe has announced the acquisition of a total of 715 permits from various LGUs nationwide in line with its project of improving its services to its customers. 2020 signed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Anti-Red Tape Authority, and other government agencies that have resulted in faster issuance of telco permits, the company proceeds to acquire more permits from LGUs for the building of more cell towers in the country. Previously, the company has gained 411 permits in August and 252 in September. This brings out a total of 631 building permits within 2 months. “These permits complement our aggressive builds and roll-outs as we not only increase our capacity and capability but more importantly, we make connectivity possible and accessible in areas that don't have any access to the internet before,” stated by Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery under Network Technical Group Joel Agustin. Agustin mentioned that Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, and Pangasinan are the top five provinces which issued the most number of building permits. Globe also secured a go-signal to build more cell towers on the following areas: Agusan Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Maguindanao, Antique, Laguna, Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Tarlac, South Cotabato, Isabela, and La Union.
