The telco announced that they'll temporarily shut down mobile services in select areas in Cebu for the Sinulog Festival. If you're in the affected areas, expect to receive an advisory from Globe regarding the planned shut down. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here. Disclosure: Both Globe Visibility and SmartBro 3G is an advertiser on this blog. People have been asking that since Globe Visibility has obviously moved into the flat prepaid and tiered postpaid models, what will happen to subscribers who are on the GV Unlimited plans? After which, Globe will be offering them a new post-paid plan on top of the existing one. Inside sources would not give details of what this new Globe Visibility plans will be but I reckon that it better be something of a close match to that of the unlimited or else they'd get a lot of flak from it.
