#Globe telecom mobile sites

Throughout the first nine months of the year, Globe has upgraded 5,395 mobile sites to LTE and built 833 new cell sites, further improving the nation's digital infrastructure. Globe has partnered with government agencies to strengthen efforts against mobile-based scams, introducing new tools designed to detect illegal signal activity across the country. In collaboration with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), and the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Globe has donated IMSI catcher detectors to help authorities identify and track unauthorized mobile network activity. Globe said the move is part of a broader effort to combat increasingly sophisticated threats that operate beyond standard telecom networks. One curious question here though is why is Globe abandoning the eat-all-you can model for mobile 3G internet? Likewise, Globe has terminated their Globe Visibility Unlimited plans (the one that costs Php3,000 a month for unlimited Mobile 3G internet).
