Google Duo Family Mode

Google Duo,  Google's video chat app, adds more features to connect more people amid the coronavirus pandemic. The new Family Mode now allows users to draw and apply Instagram-like filters and effects. The filters are also available in one-on-one calls via Google Duo.   Apart from the Family Mode, Google Duo is scheduled to roll out this week the app's capability of making group calls on web browsers. Google has introduced the Gemini 2.5 Computer Use model, a specialized version of Gemini 2.5 Pro designed to give AI agents direct control over apps and browsers. Google claims the model outperforms alternatives in both speed and accuracy, particularly in browser benchmarks, while also showing early promise in mobile app control. Google has begun rolling out major quality of life (QoL) updates to its AI Mode in Search. Reports suggest that Google’s upcoming Tensor G6 chip, which will power the Pixel 11 series, may feature a MediaTek modem instead of Samsung’s Exynos.
