Google Philippines, in partnership with PLDT and Smart, announces the Google Station which lets users access free internet on various locations. Filipinos will have access to free and open internet connectivity in 50 locations like airports, train stations, and many others across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Google Station is set to roll out soon but the company did not mention the specific date of arrival yet. In a recent post by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), there will now be free 24/7 internet access for all traversing the Pasig River via ferry. Users can connect to internet hubs across 12 Pasig River Ferry Service (PFRS) stations from Escolta to Pinagbuhatan. On top of that, there will also be free internet on the ferries themselves - ensuring users are never disconnected along the route. This is a joint effort of the DICT, MMDA, and Pasig LGU under the Free Public Internet Access Program (FPIAP). Infinix has announced a free three-month trial of Google AI Plus (2TB) for users of select smartphones, giving access to Google's AI tools and cloud storage at no extra cost.
