#Honda stop production in Philippines

(HCPI) has announced on February 22, 2020, that they will be stopping production operations in its Sta. HCPI President Noriyuki Takakura said, "To meet Honda's customer needs in the Philippines for reasonably priced and good quality products, Honda considered efficient allocation and distribution of resources. As such, after consideration of optimization efforts in the production operations in Asia and Oceania region, Honda decided to close the manufacturing operations of HCPI." HCPI's automobile sales, and after-sales service, however, will continue its operation through Honda's Asia and Oceania regional network. When I was invited to join the trip to Bohol by Honda Cars Philippines for a media test drive, I hesitated at first because I know very little about cars. Last year, Honda Philippines sent us to an overnight strip to Clark along with their 2010 Honda Accord. Honda Cars Philippines lent us their new SUV, the Honda CRV 2010, to take out of town and get the hang of driving one of their top of the line sports utility vehicles.
