HP has just announced the Chromebook x2, which they have given the title of the "world's first Chromebook detachable". Powering the Chromebook x2 is a 7th-generation Intel Core m3 processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM, and 32GB of eMMC storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD. The HP Chromebook x2 starts at $599 (~Php31k) and will be available in the US on June 10. HP has not formally launched the new Mini Note 1000 but Villman & PC Corner has already listed the netbook on their site with a suggested retail price of Php21,950. PC Corner's listing sets the price at Php21,950 while Villman has the HP Mini 1001TU for Php21,948 at zero percent (0%) interest for 12 months. With a retail price of Php23,990, HP Mini 2140 isn't the cheapest in the 10-inch category but it makes up all that with a great build and design. At least, the HP Mini line now been re-priced competitively. HP priced their units more competitively.
