In line with the launch of the Desire EYE, HTC has quietly added the HTC One (M8 EYE) to their portfolio which is a tweaked version of their current flagship smartphone that sports a 13MP megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor. Other than the revamped rear optics, the HTC One M8 EYE is virtually identical to the Taiwanese firm’s current hero device. You need full concentration and all eyes to use it (unlike the regular phone keypads where people can type without even looking). Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia. Some specs, like that of the iPhone's processor and RAM/ROM are not totally confirmed and were based on pieces of hardware clues taken from disassembled parts. I had mixed feelings after trying out the HTC Touch Dual phone several weeks ago. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200, 400 MHz processor running Windows Mobile 6 and is compatible with all of the usual HTC accessories.
