HTC Philippines has started doing pre-orders for the 32GB HTC One which is slated to be released in the Philippines on May 24. The company is selling the HTC One with 32GB internal storage for Php32,990. The HTC One has suffered delays in its global release due to shortage in parts supply (specifically, the ultrapixel camera module). While we were lining up to enter the Radio City Hall for the Samsung Unpack event here in New York, a number of folks were walking around and asking people in the line if they've seen the HTC One. They had several units of the HTC One to show to people. I am told that the HTC One will be released in the Philippines sometime in May. Aiming "to make the transition from feature phone to smartphone as seamless as possible," the flip phone admittedly has conservative specs but runs on the latest Android Lollipop so users still navigate on a very updated operating system. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early.
