Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, is at again, this time revealing some specs of an upcoming Huawei-made Nexus smartphone. According to evleaks, the Huawei Nexus will sport a 5.7-inch QHD display or equal to 515ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, a fingerprint scanner, and a metal body. Evan says that it will ship in Q4 which is when Google usually announces its new Nexus devices (October - November). Huawei Nexus sounds impressive so far: 5.7" QHD w/ metal body, SD820 SoC, fingerprint reader. There has been a lot of talk about the possibility that Google may release two Nexus devices later this year – one being a high-end handset which is rumored to be made by LG and the other one, as confirmed by Kevin Yang, the Director of China Research at iSuppli, will be made by Huawei. The confirmation came from Yang’s Weibo post claiming that the Shenzhen-based firm has indeed been handpicked by Google to manufacture the next-gen Nexus device, albeit he didn’t share any other details about the partnership or the actual device that the two companies are supposedly working on. Obviously, neither Huawei nor Google commented on these speculations as of the time of writing, but it’ll be interesting to see how this will all pan out in the end.
