Huawei previously promised a convenient QR payment option via GCash for the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series and other select wearables (initially released in Q4 2024). Now, that feature becomes more accessible as the brand will add ‘GCash Watch Pay’ to more HUAWEI wearables. As of writing, however, Huawei has yet to make a list of its wearables that will support the QR payment feature. Furthermore, users can feel safe using such feature as Huawei collaborated directly with GCash under the supervision of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Of note is the Huawei Office that features a worksheet, presentation and document editor; Hi Suite which is a data manager for the device and a PC that works both via USB or WiFi; and Aldiko for managing and reading e-books. This could be offered under a Globe Tattoo Plan 999 of some sort (just like the iPad WiFi + 3G Plan) and will have a one-time fee of Php7,500 for the Huawei E5/E5830 (TJ tells me it could be in staggered payments).
