Huawei vs Apple

While Android still leads the market with 64% of the share in Q4 2024, HarmonyOS has captured 19%, surpassing Apple’s iOS with 17% market share. This is a significant achievement for Huawei, especially considering its struggles in the wake of US sanctions. The company has not only surpassed Apple in software but is also outperforming Apple in both smartphone and tablet market share within China. Apple’s share grew to 22% (from 16%), while Huawei maintained 4% for the fourth consecutive quarter since 2024. Apple has revealed that the iPhone 12 and 12 mini now come in the color Purple. As per Apple, the new finish complements the beautiful flat-edge design of the iPhone 12. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
