ikotMNL, the mobile app developed by Light Rail Manila Corporation for its commuters, adds contact tracing and navigation features on its update. Through the app, LRT-1 passengers may activate the contact tracing feature, detecting other passengers nearby via Bluetooth. Those who may have come into close proximity with a fellow passenger who reports or tags himself as COVID-19 positive will be notified by government authorities when the respective contact tracing procedure begins. LRMC has also partnered with Sakay.PH to offer navigation features on the ikotMNL app. The said features of the ikotMNL app roll out this month in iOS and Android devices.
