Apple has released iOS 12.5.8 to keep key services like iMessage, FaceTime, and device activation working on older Apple devices that can no longer upgrade to newer versions of iOS. Apple’s iOS 18 update is working towards introducing new text effects and RCS for iMessage. However, it’s surely an improvement to how users interact with each other in iMessage.
