Instagram has unveiled a new feature called Instants. Instagram's Instants is a new feature that lets users share spontaneous, unedited photos with friends directly through the app. Instants appears in the bottom-right corner of Instagram’s inbox. Unlike Stories, Instants are designed for casual, in the moment sharing. Photos shared through Instants are automatically saved in a private archive for up to one year. Instagram is also testing a standalone Instants app in select countries on iOS and Android. The app offers quick access to the camera while syncing with the main Instagram app. It lets users to send and receive Instants across both platforms.
