Starting October 1, 2025, direct cash-in transactions to GCash will be routed to InstaPay. This follows the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) directive for online banks and e-wallets in the country to adopt InstaPay. In addition, GCash confirmed that there will be no additional fees for direct cash-ins under the new system. Given the news, BPI will begin charging a PHP 15 fee for cash-in transactions made via InstaPay. This fee covers clearing costs from BancNet, the designated switch operator for InstaPay. To start, transfers to GCash via InstaPay will cost PHP 10.
